About the Role: Assistant Warehouse Jobs in Kitwe

As an Assistant: Warehouse, you will perform a variety of warehouse functions as directed by warehouse management. Your primary focus will be on supporting the smooth flow of parts handling, including picking, binning, and loading customer orders and spare parts. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality standards to help Weir Minerals maintain its world-class safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate full commitment to zero harm behaviors, supporting the development of a world-class safety culture.
• Pick, bin, and load parts accurately for customer orders and spare parts using scanners or BAAN systems.
• Verify parts during handover to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with regular stock takes and inventory management.
• Move pallets safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Comply with ISO work instructions and internal procedures.
• Ensure all received items are dispatched within 24 hours.
• Support dispatch operations by verifying items with security and cross-checking delivery notes.
• Meet or exceed set operational targets and deadlines.
• Adhere strictly to statutory Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) and housekeeping requirements.
• Follow the Duty of Care Policy at all times.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile and Experience

Applicants should have between one to two years of related experience or training. Alternatively, candidates with an equivalent combination of education and practical experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
