About the Role – Refrigeration Technician Jobs in Lusaka

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of various commercial refrigeration units, including cold rooms, walk-in freezers and coolers, display cabinets, and ice machines. Your technical skills will be essential in diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment longevity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment tailored for QSR, supermarket, and general commercial clients.
• Efficiently diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-circuit faults and implement effective repairs.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and enhance equipment lifespan.
• Respond promptly to breakdown call-outs, including after-hours and on-call duties as required.
• Handle refrigerants safely, adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Complete accurate job cards, service reports, and client documentation for every service visit.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on-site, explaining faults, repairs, and recommendations.
• Identify and order necessary parts while managing workshop stock responsibly.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and on-the-job mentoring to junior technicians and apprentices.
