About the Role – Strategic Education Advisor Jobs in Lusaka

The Strategic Education Advisor (SEA) – Partnership and Communications will report directly to the Education Manager within the Strategy Department. This full-time position is pivotal in enhancing and expanding VVOB’s partnerships at the Zambian, regional, and global levels to support the growth of our portfolio in Zambia.

Working closely with the programmes team and management, the SEA will provide strategic leadership, ensuring alignment with global opportunities and policy trends while fostering sustainable partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable projects in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Offer both short- and long-term strategic advice on partnership and communications aligned with current policy trends and global strategies.
• Provide authoritative guidance on partnership and communication issues.
• Engage in capacity development activities tailored to programme needs and phases.
• Establish and maintain strong networks with relevant partners, institutions, and organisations.
• Lead strategic and instructional coherence across VVOB’s portfolio, ensuring quality and sustainability of Remedial and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) interventions.
• Contribute to strategic proposal development for remedial teaching and learning within the Zambian portfolio.
• Identify and recommend strategic adjustments to improve programme delivery and sustainability.

Required Expertise and Experience

• Master’s degree in education, development studies, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Zambian education system and sector.
• Established network among education partners within Zambia and internationally.
• Proven experience in programme/project development, change management, and organisational capacity building.
