Lushomo Trust – Grace Centre is seeking a dedicated and qualified Communication / Education Officer to join our team in Kazungula. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to educational development and community empowerment by supporting vulnerable girls through sponsorship and skills training initiatives.

About Lushomo Trust – Grace Centre

Located along Mambova Road in Kazungula District, Lushomo Trust Grace Centre is a community-based project accredited by TEVETA. We provide free skills training programs and educational sponsorship to vulnerable girls in both primary and secondary schools, striving to improve access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities for Communication Education Officer Jobs in Kazungula

• Maintain effective communication with the Coordinator regarding all educational programs.
• Identify and recruit new girls eligible for sponsorship.
• Organize tuition sessions, review academic materials, and provide targeted teaching in weaker subjects.
• Attend school Open Days and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meetings to collect reports and monitor progress.
• Compile and submit termly academic performance reports to the Coordinator.
• Coordinate education programs for sponsored girls, ensuring regular school attendance and addressing challenges promptly.
• Conduct periodic home visits to guardians to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all sponsored students.
• Teach communication skills to students enrolled in skills training programs.
• Provide additional support by teaching English and other relevant subjects on Saturdays.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Teaching, preferably in English or Literature.
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience.
• Experience as a Communication or Education Officer is advantageous.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, guardians, and school staff.
• TEVETA accreditation is preferred.
