Save the Children International is seeking a dedicated bCPAP Project Manager to lead the implementation of the Better Care for Small and Sick Newborns project in Lusaka, Zambia. This is a full-time national position focused on improving neonatal respiratory care and reducing mortality through the integration of bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (bCPAP) services in public health facilities.

In partnership with Vayu Global Health, the Ministry of Health, and funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Charities, this project aims to reduce neonatal mortality by enhancing access to high-quality respiratory care. The bCPAP Project Manager will oversee the implementation of this initiative across ten district-level public health facilities in Lusaka, Central, and Southern Provinces, ensuring sustainable integration of bCPAP into routine newborn care.

Key Responsibilities for bCPAP Project Manager Jobs in Lusaka

• Lead and manage the “Better Care for Small and Sick Newborns in Zambia” project, including planning, coordination, and execution.
• Supervise a small team of two direct reports and coordinate with indirect staff and stakeholders.
• Serve as the main budget holder, overseeing financial management and resource allocation.
• Strengthen referral and transfer systems for sick newborns within the targeted provinces.
• Enhance health worker capacity through training, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Save the Children’s safeguarding policies and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the project.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a strong background in project management within health or related sectors, with experience in neonatal care or respiratory health preferred.
