About the MMU Operator Role

As an MMU Operator at BULK, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Mobile Manufacturing Unit, ensuring the accurate manufacture and delivery of bulk explosives to mining sites. This role demands a high level of attention to safety protocols, quality control, and operational procedures to support our mining clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities for MMU Operator Jobs in Mamba

• Operate and maintain the Mobile Manufacturing Unit in compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Manufacture and deliver bulk explosives products aligned with customer specifications.
• Perform pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on the MMU vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Accurately complete operational documentation, including production reports and inventory records.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards on the MMU and at work sites.
• Identify and report any equipment defects, operational risks, or safety concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with mining personnel and supervisors to achieve production targets.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Valid Code CE driver’s license or equivalent for dangerous goods transportation.
• Possession of a Dangerous Goods Permit is advantageous.
• Previous experience operating an MMU in mining or explosives environments.
• Knowledge of blast hole charging procedures and bulk explosives products.
• Comprehensive understanding of mine safety regulations and best practices.
• Willingness and ability to work shifts and operate in remote mining locations.
