About the Role – Crop Farm Supervisor Jobs in Luanshya

As a Crop Farm Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing crop production operations, leading teams, and overseeing the expansion and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure. This full-time position requires a proactive leader capable of coordinating multiple aspects of commercial farming while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Crop Management: Take full responsibility for planning, executing, and monitoring the performance of maize, soya beans, and wheat crops.
• Irrigation & Expansion: Operate centre pivot irrigation systems and support large-scale projects including bush clearing, dam construction, pivot installation, and drainage management.
• Machinery & Mechanics: Operate, service, and troubleshoot heavy farm machinery such as tractors, planters, sprayers, and harvesters, with a strong emphasis on John Deere equipment.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate operators and seasonal workers to optimize productivity and maintain safety standards.
• Operational Management: Manage budgeting, input planning, field scouting, soil health monitoring, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in commercial row cropping, including direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Demonstrated expertise with centre pivot irrigation systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, particularly in troubleshooting John Deere farm machinery.
• Proficiency in operating all standard farm equipment.
• Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
