Normet Zambia Limited is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize supply chain operations in Kitwe, Copperbelt. This full-time role focuses on driving efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance within the company’s supply chain functions across Zambia.

The successful candidate will manage all supply chain activities within their area of responsibility to meet business objectives and maximize resource utilization. This includes overseeing inventory management, demand planning (including Mopani VMI), warehousing, logistics, and supplier relationships to support Normet’s growth in Zambia.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing supply chain policies, ensuring compliance, achieving financial and operational goals, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves negotiating with stakeholders, coaching the supply chain team, and maintaining internal controls aligned with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain policies and procedures to meet organizational objectives.
• Manage supply chain operations to achieve financial and operational targets.
• Lead negotiations with customers and suppliers to support business goals.
• Drive continuous learning and competency development within the supply chain team.
• Maximize customer satisfaction by improving availability, service rates, and reducing lead times.
• Optimize inventory levels with targets of 90% availability for ABC items and 70% for DEF items.
• Enhance internal controls and ensure compliance with Zambia’s regulatory requirements.
• Implement safety processes and risk assessments in collaboration with SHEQ leadership.
• Manage pricing data and negotiate price changes in line with global adjustments.
• Oversee warehousing and logistics strategies, including managing third- and fourth-party logistics providers.
• Support bonded facility requirements to facilitate regional parts supply.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics functions.
