Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering – Join Our Academic Team
Reporting to: Coordinator Engineering Studies
As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to both full-time and distance learning students. Your responsibilities will include curriculum development, lecturing, examination administration, and student mentorship. You will also engage in research, consultancy, and community service, contributing to the institute’s academic excellence.
- Prepare and deliver schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with the curriculum
- Conduct and mark examinations, ensuring academic integrity
- Support extracurricular activities and maintain professional teaching documentation
- Ensure student registration, counsel on social behavior, and maintain discipline
- Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and performance
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits including Mathematics and English
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
- Registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy
- Minimum three years of teaching experience at university or college level
- Training in teaching methodology

Driver Position – Support Our Operations
Reporting to: Human Resource and Administration Officer
LIBES seeks a reliable Driver responsible for the safe transportation of staff, students, and materials. You will manage vehicle inspections, maintenance, and records while ensuring compliance with institutional safety policies. This role requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
- Transport personnel and materials safely to various locations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure maintenance standards
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs and assist with loading/unloading
- Adhere to safety protocols and institutional policies
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
- Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits including Mathematics and English
- At least 3 years’ experience driving diverse vehicles
- Valid Class CE driver’s license with a clean record
- GRZ Competency Certificate
Skills and Competencies

- Capable of driving during night shifts
Registry Intern – Gain Valuable Administrative Experience
Reporting to: Registry Officer
The Registry Intern will support the management of physical and electronic records by ensuring accurate filing, retrieval, and safeguarding of institutional documents. This internship offers practical experience in records management within an educational environment.
- Receive, sort, register, and file incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems
- Label, index, and classify files according to institutional standards
- Assist with opening new files and closing inactive ones
- Ensure confidentiality and proper preservation of records
- Scan and digitize documents as required
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits including Mathematics and English
- Diploma or Degree in Records Management, Library and Information Science, Public or Business Administration, or related field
- Recent graduate seeking internship placement
- Basic knowledge of records and document management principles
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and filing skills with attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and eagerness to learn
