The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily lunch and dinner meals primarily for Chinese staff members. Using locally sourced ingredients, the chef will craft flavorful and hygienic Chinese dishes while maintaining a clean kitchen environment that complies with local food safety regulations. The role requires adaptability to the company’s working hours without late-night shifts and a strong commitment to food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Chinese meals such as stir-fries, soups, and staple foods, customized to employee preferences.
• Operate traditional Chinese kitchen equipment including woks and steamers efficiently.
• Ensure consistent taste, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation and kitchen maintenance.
• Manage ingredient procurement and minimize waste through effective coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of three years cooking experience; experience or training in Chinese cuisine is preferred but not mandatory.
• Possession of a valid health certificate issued in Zambia is required.
