Role Overview for Training Specialist Jobs in Solwezi
The Specialist, Training – Drawing will ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards related to health, safety, environment, finance, and human resources. This role is pivotal in delivering effective training programs, managing assessments, and maintaining accurate training records to support continuous improvement within the Training Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver progressive training, assessment, and skills transfer in trade drawing across seven trades.
- Develop, update, and maintain all training materials and equipment related to drawing disciplines.
- Document and report all training activities and outcomes within the relevant disciplines.
- Coordinate and supervise drawing assessments, ensuring compliance with internal and TEVETA audit requirements.
- Manage training records and ensure their availability for internal reviews and external audits.
- Organize and administer final examinations for drawing across all trades.
- Ensure timely payment of fees related to student enrolments, examinations, and staff accreditations.
- Facilitate prompt enrolment and registration of students for TEVETA examinations via LDMS.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the Training Department’s operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Diploma in Teaching Methodology or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Bachelor of Technology (BTECH) degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in a similar environment.
- Strong liaison and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with a solid command of CAD software.
- Experience coordinating examinations effectively.
- Qualifications validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
