Arm Secure Limited is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Fleet and Logistics Manager based in Lusaka, Zambia. This full-time role reports directly to the Managing Director and offers an opportunity to lead and optimize the company’s fleet and logistics operations, ensuring all transport assets are maintained, secure, and efficiently managed to support business objectives.

Strategic Role in Fleet and Logistics Manager Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight of the company’s vehicle fleet and logistics functions. Key responsibilities include maintaining roadworthy and compliant vehicles, enforcing fleet controls, reducing operational losses, and improving accountability across all transport resources. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness while safeguarding company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Management and Asset Control: Develop and implement fleet management policies; ensure vehicles are insured, licensed, and fit for purpose; maintain preventive maintenance schedules; conduct inspections and audits; and investigate any misuse or fraud.
• Maintenance and Workshop Oversight: Supervise vehicle servicing and repairs; ensure timely fault diagnosis; monitor repair quality and costs; and recommend vehicle replacements or acquisitions as needed.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage transportation activities to facilitate efficient delivery of equipment and supplies; maintain inventory and logistics records; and ensure proper asset storage and handling.
• Fuel Management and Cost Control: Implement fuel monitoring systems; analyze consumption trends; manage fleet operating costs; and prepare budgets for fleet and logistics operations.
• Driver Management and Compliance: Supervise drivers to uphold performance and professionalism; ensure valid licenses and permits; and conduct safety training and briefings.
• Risk Management and Safety: Ensure compliance with traffic laws and company policies; investigate accidents and losses; enforce security measures; and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, vehicle availability, maintenance costs, and fuel usage; and track key performance indicators.
• Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain confidentiality of company operations; promote ethical conduct; and safeguard assets against misuse and fraud.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Fleet Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in fleet, transport, logistics, or asset management, including at least three years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Proven track record managing large fleets and implementing effective fleet control systems.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations, and fleet performance management.
• Ability to manage costs, improve efficiencies, and enhance accountability.
• High integrity, professionalism, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
