Key Responsibilities for HR Associate Jobs in Lusaka

  • Client & Compliance Management: Maintain client compliance with regulatory bodies, liaise with statutory authorities, and keep abreast of evolving HR legislation.
  • Payroll & Records: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all statutory obligations are met, and maintain accurate, secure HR records.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, draft and verify employment contracts, and facilitate effective onboarding and induction processes.
  • HR Advisory & Policy: Develop and implement HR policies, chair disciplinary hearings, respond promptly to client queries, and educate employees on workplace policies.
  • Team Support: Provide operational assistance to senior associates, support training and development initiatives, and collaborate across departments to enhance client service.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR administration and payroll processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Zambian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software.
  • Strong attention to detail with high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
