Available Positions and Qualifications

Deputy Vice Chancellor

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD from a recognized university in a relevant discipline and possess the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, success in securing research grants, and extensive experience in university teaching, research, and academic administration are essential. Proven leadership in research, innovation, postgraduate supervision, and academic program development is required. Verification of qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) and membership in relevant professional bodies are mandatory.

Experience:

• At least 10 years of university teaching and research experience
• Minimum 5 years in senior academic leadership roles such as Dean, Director, or Head of Department
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, policy development, and institutional management

Dean of Student Affairs (1 Position)

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field, with experience in student administration and welfare services. A PhD is an added advantage.

Dean – School of Business (2 Positions)

Applicants must possess a PhD in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, along with at least five years of university teaching and leadership experience. A proven record of research and academic leadership is essential.

Human Resource Officer (2 Positions)

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from a recognized institution. Membership in a relevant professional body and a minimum of two years’ experience in HR administration are preferred. Responsibilities include HR administration, recruitment, employee records management, and staff welfare coordination.

Lecturer Positions (Multiple Disciplines)

Copperstone University is seeking lecturers in the following fields:

• Mining Engineering (2 positions): Master’s degree required; teaching experience and professional registration (e.g., EIZ) preferred.
• Civil Engineering (2 positions): Master’s degree required; PhD and industry or lecturing experience are advantages.
• Purchasing and Supply (2 positions): Master’s degree required; teaching experience preferred.
• Transport and Logistics (2 positions): Master’s degree required; industry or teaching experience is advantageous.

University Librarian (2 Positions)

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a related field, with experience in library management.

Accountant (2 Positions)
