Our client, a dynamic recruitment and HR consulting firm, is recruiting a Regional Coordinator (New Markets) to spearhead their entry into new African markets. About the Role – Regional Coordinator Jobs in Lusaka

The Regional Coordinator will lead a four-person validation unit responsible for testing, piloting, and scaling operations across emerging markets. This permanent, full-time position evolves from validating market viability to managing a cluster of 60 sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, adaptability, and operational expertise to drive sustainable regional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cluster Expansion: Drive regional growth from pilot phases to full-scale operations using a proven replication model. Approve validated sites and identify new organic pipelines.
  • P&L and Strategic Growth: Own the regional Profit & Loss statement and develop strategic growth plans aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee regional inventory control, ensuring compliance and operational execution to minimize lost or missing packs.
  • Performance and Profitability: Achieve key metrics, including maintaining 150+ active customers, securing hub profitability, and meeting operational excellence standards.
  • Technical and Energy Reliability: Collaborate with the Regional Service Engineer to maintain 99.95% energy uptime across all sites.
  • Resource Coordination: Manage allocation of field resources, technical support, staffing, and infrastructure to support launch and scale-up phases. Train and coach Hub Managers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive operational or commercial experience in FMCG, Energy, Telecoms, or related fast-paced industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related discipline. Equivalent leadership experience and specialized training considered.
  • Proven success leading and developing remote or distributed teams, including recruiting and training regional staff to build high-performing units.
  • Strong background in sales and customer experience management, with a data-driven approach to customer growth and service quality.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and cultural adaptability. Willingness to travel extensively for on-the-ground market validation and pilot deployment.
