As an Area Sales Manager at Spectrum Credit Ltd, you will be responsible for translating national sales strategies into effective branch-level plans, coaching branch leadership teams, and removing operational obstacles that affect performance. This full-time role, based in Chipata, demands a strong leadership presence combined with a commitment to sustainable business growth and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive regional sales growth by achieving disbursement and portfolio expansion targets.
• Implement company sales strategies at the branch level to maximize market opportunities.
• Identify and pursue new growth prospects within assigned territories.
• Monitor branch productivity, conversion rates, and portfolio quality to ensure performance standards.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop Branch Coordinators and emerging leaders.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to enhance team capabilities.
• Enforce accountability and ensure delivery against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Standardize branch operations to improve turnaround times and resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain high standards of customer service across all branches.
• Collaborate with Credit, Finance, HR, and Collections departments to support smooth operations.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, and adherence to company values.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.
• Identify and escalate risks or control weaknesses promptly.
• Develop succession plans to strengthen leadership pipelines and encourage continuous improvement.
• Foster innovation through problem-solving and operational improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, certified by ZAQA.
• An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial services or microfinance.
• Proven leadership or senior management experience.
• Strong expertise in lending, portfolio management, or operations.
• Experience managing multi-branch or regional operations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and improve performance.
