As a Supervisor in Project Construction, you will oversee planned construction activities, ensure adherence to quality assurance and safety standards, and manage teams across multiple projects within our Kalumbila operations.

Key Responsibilities for Project Construction Supervisor Jobs in Kalumbila

• Plan, implement, and manage construction tasks aligned with project priorities and goals.
• Assign and monitor tasks performed by team members, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Manage attendance, performance, and discipline of subordinates to maintain productivity and safety.
• Lead contractor oversight to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
• Co-manage project planning and field execution including scope verification, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Enforce QA/QC procedures through site inspections and milestone sign-offs.
• Collaborate with project controls to maintain accurate trackers, risk registers, and dashboards for stakeholder reporting.
• Promote a strong safety culture via daily briefings, near-miss reporting, and compliance verification.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proven leadership and supervisory experience of at least 3 years.
• Minimum 5 years in construction supervision, contractor management, QA/QC, and safety on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, standards, and safety regulations.
• Competence in coordinating tasks, cost management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, and AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documents accurately.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Systematic problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective decision-making abilities.
• Good time management and results-driven implementation focus.

Qualifications

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Membership in the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or another recognized professional body.
