As the HR & Administration Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing a broad range of human resource functions and administrative duties to support Kamwesa Zambia Limited’s business objectives. Your responsibilities will include recruitment, employee welfare, compliance with labour laws, performance management, and general office administration, ensuring smooth and efficient organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment processes, including onboarding and staff induction.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Manage payroll inputs, leave tracking, attendance, and employee benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws and internal HR policies.
- Facilitate performance management and employee development activities.
- Address disciplinary matters and resolve employee relations issues professionally.
- Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation.
- Oversee staff welfare initiatives and occupational health and safety compliance.
- Administer office operations including procurement of supplies.
- Coordinate company training programs and capacity-building efforts.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Compile HR and administrative reports for management review.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of relevant experience in HR and administration roles.
- Sound knowledge of Zambian Labour Laws and HR best practices.
- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
