Reporting directly to the founders and collaborating closely with sales teams and external partners, you will develop and implement marketing strategies that elevate brand presence, increase consumer demand, and support commercial growth across all channels.

Key Responsibilities for Marketing Brand Manager Jobs in Lusaka

  • Brand Strategy & Management: Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies and annual marketing plans, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels.
  • Retail & Shopper Marketing: Design marketing initiatives to enhance product sell-through in supermarkets and specialty retail; collaborate with sales on promotional programs and new product launches; conduct store visits to monitor execution and competitor activity.
  • Product & Innovation Support: Lead marketing efforts for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and packaging updates, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery and gathering consumer insights to fuel innovation.

  • Insights & Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators, analyze campaign results, and recommend improvements; stay informed on competitor activities and consumer trends within FMCG and confectionery markets.

Success Criteria

Within your first year, you will have delivered a clear and actionable marketing plan, enhanced brand consistency and visibility, executed seasonal campaigns successfully, strengthened retailer partnerships, improved direct-to-consumer marketing effectiveness, and introduced robust performance measurement processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of marketing and/or brand management experience, ideally within FMCG sectors such as food, beverage, or confectionery.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating with retail channels and managing shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in entrepreneurial or growing business environments.
  • Exposure to both consumer and B2B marketing.
  • Involvement in new product launches or packaging development projects.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and analytics tools.
