Position Overview: Internal Auditor Jobs in Ndola

As an Internal Auditor at ZITFT, you will provide independent and objective assurance services designed to add value and improve the Trust’s operations. Your role will involve evaluating the effectiveness of governance structures, risk management processes, and internal controls to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans aligned with organisational objectives.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with professional auditing standards.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend enhancements.
• Review organisational processes and systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to Management and the Board Audit Committee.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide advisory services on governance, risk management, and internal control matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or professional qualifications such as ACCA or CA Zambia.
• Full membership in the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) with all dues paid.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification or an equivalent recognised internal auditing certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ practical experience in both External and Internal Audit.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience auditing Government-owned or State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all aspects of work.
