Role Overview: Environmental Health & Business Development Officer

The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving business growth by identifying new clients and fostering lasting relationships with corporate partners and regulatory bodies. You will ensure that our clients meet environmental health standards while simultaneously supporting revenue objectives through effective client acquisition and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities for Environmental Health Business Development Jobs in Lusaka

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new B2B clients for environmental and public health services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutions, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and business development meetings to promote services.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and service agreements tailored to client needs.
  • Advise clients on compliance with environmental health regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and support ongoing environmental health compliance projects and assessments.
  • Perform site inspections and recommend improvements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Generate comprehensive sales, business development, and compliance reports.
  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly sales and performance targets.
  • Stay current with environmental health legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Represent M&J Consultants professionally during client engagements and industry events.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and business development within related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental health compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
