Key Responsibilities for Trainee Manager Jobs in Copperbelt

  • Monitor staff performance and uphold discipline standards.
  • Support customer service initiatives and address minor customer complaints efficiently.
  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly sales reports under supervision.
  • Conduct stock counts and aid in stock replenishment processes.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well-stocked shelves to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Develop store management skills guided by the Store Manager.

Store Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote store growth.
  • Manage budgets, cash flow, and control expenses effectively.
  • Conduct staff appraisals and establish clear performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for optimal terms.
  • Lead promotional activities, advertising campaigns, and community engagement.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints and operational challenges promptly.
  • Mentor Trainee Managers to prepare them for future leadership roles.

Candidate Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in retail operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of the retail industry and its dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physically and medically fit to perform job duties.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
