Position Overview: Medical Officer (Senior House Officer)

We have one vacancy for a Medical Officer who will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive medical services. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, and managing treatment plans in accordance with established medical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough clinical evaluations including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic investigations.
• Prescribe medications and schedule follow-up reviews based on clinical guidelines.
• Carry out routine medical and minor surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Work closely with nursing staff, laboratory personnel, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for all patients.
• Adhere strictly to applicable laws, regulations, and Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of internship and possession of a valid practicing license.
• Full registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
• Grade XII certificate or equivalent educational qualification.
• Computer literacy is an advantage to support electronic record keeping.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
