About the Role – IT Support Jobs in Lusaka

As an IT Support Staff member, you will be the first point of contact for clients experiencing technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include assisting with software installation and configuration, troubleshooting hardware and network issues, and ensuring prompt, professional communication with clients. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote support tools.
  • Assist with software setup, configuration, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, internet, and software-related issues efficiently.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to specialized teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions for continuous improvement.
  • Support system updates, resets, and deliver basic user training as required.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to ensure satisfaction and timely issue resolution.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in an IT-related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and follow technical procedures carefully.
  • Reliable, organized, and professional in all aspects of work.

Preferred Experience and Additional Skills

  • Previous experience in IT support, software support, or helpdesk roles is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, accounting, or invoicing software.
  • Experience using remote support tools to assist clients remotely.
  • Basic knowledge of databases or APIs is a plus.
