About the Role: Ultra Class Trucks Coordinator Jobs in Kalumbila
Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Ultra Class Trucks, you will lead the safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance of the ultra-class truck fleet. Your primary focus will be on maximizing fleet availability and performance by applying disciplined work management, reliability engineering, and adherence to Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and OEM standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain daily work management discipline across all shifts, controlling work order creation, planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out.
- Manage backlog effectively by prioritizing based on safety, production impact, and asset criticality.
- Ensure all maintenance work is fully planned and resourced with labor, parts, tools, and documentation before execution.
- Enforce high-quality work order close-out with accurate failure coding, detailed feedback, and data integrity.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA/RCA) to identify and resolve defects sustainably.
- Monitor key fleet performance metrics such as Availability, MTBF, MTTR, and Cost per Hour to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage underperforming assets through focused reliability initiatives.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of Asset Management Plans tailored for ultra-class trucks.
- Align maintenance strategies with OEM recommendations and site-specific conditions.
- Contribute to Life Cycle Cost optimization through effective component management and planned replacements.
- Utilize CMMS systems efficiently for work management, reporting, and decision-making.
- Support integration and optimization of condition monitoring platforms like DINGO to enable predictive maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance planners, operations, supply chain, and contractors to ensure seamless execution.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture consistent with Zero Harm principles.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, and site-specific safety regulations.
- Lead by example in safe work practices, risk management, and environmental stewardship.
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained, inducted, and competent.
Candidate Requirements
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Heavy Mobile Equipment maintenance.
- Proven supervisory experience within mining or heavy industry environments.
- Strong knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP or AMT and maintenance planning processes.
- Current Zambian driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
- Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering and data-driven decision-making.
- Membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
