About the Role – Tipper Truck Driver Jobs in Lusaka

As a Tipper Truck Driver with Toka Contractors Ltd, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty tipper trucks to transport earthworks, sand, gravel, stone, and other construction materials between quarries, construction sites, and stockpiles. Your role is critical to ensuring materials are delivered safely and on schedule to support our ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate tipper trucks in compliance with road safety regulations, ensuring safe transit to and from project sites.
• Material Offloading & Tipping: Manage the hydraulic tipping mechanism to unload materials smoothly and accurately.
• Pre & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily vehicle checks including tyre pressure, oil levels, hydraulic fluids, brakes, and lights before and after trips.
• Load Management: Verify loads are within legal weight limits, balanced correctly, and secured to prevent spillage or hazards on the road.
• Basic Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain truck cleanliness, perform minor routine maintenance, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate daily trip sheets, delivery notes, and fuel logs as required by logistics management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Driver’s License: Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License (Class C / CE).
• Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of verifiable experience operating heavy-duty tipper trucks within construction, mining, or civil engineering sectors.
• Documentation: Valid National Registration Card (NRC) or National Identification Document.
• Skills: Strong mechanical awareness, excellent site navigation abilities, and comprehensive knowledge of heavy vehicle road safety protocols.
• Attributes: Punctual, honest, physically fit, and flexible to work varying hours including weekends when necessary.
