Role Overview: Technical Documentation Officer Jobs in Lusaka

The Technical Documentation Officer will be responsible for preparing and managing all technical information essential for garment production. This role ensures that every garment style is accurately documented before production commences, fostering clear communication between Product Development, Cutting, and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs for all garment styles.
• Manage measurement specification tables, size charts, and grading tables with precision.
• Prepare detailed cut plans outlining styles, sizes, and quantities to be cut.
• Support Work-In-Progress (WIP) tracking to monitor production stages.
• Ensure all technical documentation is complete and accurate before production begins.
• Collaborate closely with Pattern Makers, Sample Makers, and the Cutting & Bundling team.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all garment styles and related documentation.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, Tailoring, or related fields.
• Proficient computer literacy, with strong skills in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Basic understanding of garment construction and measurement interpretation.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical specifications.

Preferred Skills and Additional Advantages

• Experience or exposure to pattern making and grading techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Work Environment and Structure

The successful candidate will operate within the Product Development Department, supporting both development and production workflows. Close collaboration with Pattern Makers and the Cutting team is essential to ensure seamless production processes.
