Role Overview: Stores Management Officer Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the assigned stores. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, and release of various products while maintaining proper inventory controls and high standards of security and sanitation. The Stores Management Officer will supervise staff, monitor stock levels, and implement strategies to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily stores operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and release of products.
• Oversee security, sanitation, and performance standards within the stores.
• Monitor inventory stock levels and place orders when items reach reorder points.
• Inspect incoming materials and supplies, ensuring proper storage and display.
• Process and accurately file stores management documentation for easy retrieval.
• Supervise and coordinate staff engaged in stores management activities.
• Analyze stock aging and report obsolete stock to management regularly.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of Grade 12 school certificate.
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or related professional qualification.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a similar stores management role.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply is required.
