About the Role: Senior Mine Engineer Jobs in Ndola

As a Senior Mine Engineer at Dangote, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing mining operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Your expertise will guide sub-surface surveys, help define ground support systems, and oversee extraction and underground construction activities with a focus on environmental stewardship.

• Lead and coordinate mining plans and safety programs to maintain operational excellence.
• Conduct detailed sub-surface surveys to evaluate potential mining sites and land characteristics.
• Provide technical input on ground support systems, processes, and equipment for safe and sustainable mining.
• Manage shift operations and blasting activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee mining operations independently, ensuring all tasks run smoothly without constant supervision.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

We seek candidates with a strong background in mining engineering, particularly those with experience in limestone or copper mining, open-pit mining, and the cement manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in mining operations and safety management.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering.
• At least seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience in the cement or mining industries.
• Valid practicing license issued by the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
• Blasting license and First Aid certification are mandatory.
