Role Overview: Quantity Surveyor Jobs in Lusaka

As a Quantity Surveyor on our Road Construction Project Team, you will play a critical role in managing and controlling project costs to ensure successful delivery within budget. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with contractors and project managers to maintain financial accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed project cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Measure and value completed works for interim and final payment certificates.
• Monitor project expenditures and provide timely cost reports and forecasts.
• Review and assess variations, claims, and additional works to ensure accuracy.
• Verify contractor valuations, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with tendering processes, procurement, and evaluation of contractor quotations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of quantities, costs, contracts, and project expenditure.
• Monitor spending against the approved budget and identify potential cost risks.
• Support contract administration and assist in resolving commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and relevant industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Science, or Civil/Highway Engineering is required.
