Key Responsibilities for Procurement Assistant Jobs in Lusaka

The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure efficient procurement and inventory management, including but not limited to:

• Procurement Support: Raise centralized supply requests and external requisitions, prepare Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), assist with quarterly stock-taking, source quotations and proforma invoices, and compile monthly procurement reports.
• Inventory Management: Issue stock to departments as required, coordinate with suppliers to schedule and confirm timely deliveries, manage shortages and missed deliveries, research pricing for low-value items, and assist in maintaining procurement documentation alongside the Logistics Manager.
• Coordination and Documentation: Collaborate with requestors to procure correct materials, maintain accurate procurement records for accountability and audits, update the fixed asset register, assist with cash-based procurement, and liaise with the Accounts department to ensure timely supplier payments.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality management standards including SafeCare, maintain OSHA cleanliness standards through housekeeping policies, and comply with CURE child protection and safeguarding policies.
