Key Responsibilities in Procurement and Logistics

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations for goods and services.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and maintain procurement documentation accurately.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any delays.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment to avoid shortages.
• Maintain precise records of procurement and logistics activities in compliance with company policies.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement requirements.
• Track shipments and address any logistics or delivery issues promptly.
• Support supplier evaluation and monitor their performance to maintain quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supply, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and logistics coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Experience in the mining or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
