About the Role: Principal ICT Infrastructure Auditor

Reporting to the Manager of Information Systems Audits, the Principal ICT Infrastructure Auditor will assist in developing strategic and annual work plans for infrastructure information systems audits. The role includes supervising audit staff and providing consulting services to management and staff in areas such as Operations Technologies, Data Centres, and Network perimeter components. The position emphasizes a risk-based audit approach to support management in achieving organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities for Principal ICT Infrastructure Auditor Jobs in Zambia

• Identify and evaluate auditable areas within accountable units and develop risk-based annual audit plans focused on Information Systems Infrastructure.
• Prepare and participate in Entry and Exit Conferences for each audit project.
• Develop audit objectives, plans, and scopes aligned with the Internal Audit Charter and assessed risks.
• Create detailed, tailored audit programs to ensure comprehensive audit coverage and effective testing procedures.
• Supervise internal audit staff throughout planning, execution, and monitoring of audit projects.
• Oversee performance of audit assignments, including issue identification, evidence review, and documentation of client processes.
• Guide staff in conducting interviews, document reviews, surveys, and preparation of audit working papers and memos.
• Review audit work to ensure compliance with professional auditing standards and ICT-related guidelines.
• Prepare and present clear, concise audit reports for management review.
• Foster productive team relationships and manage client and staff interactions effectively.
• Assist in staff training, performance evaluation, and professional development activities.
• Represent internal auditing in organizational projects and external engagements as delegated.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Business, or a related field; or equivalent professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA Zambia.
• Professional certifications like CISA, CIA, or CFE are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in information systems auditing.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in an audit or related environment.

Communication and Professional Skills

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interpret and convey company policies and audit findings. The role requires the use of official language for non-routine operational matters and interaction with diverse stakeholders.
