Key Responsibilities for Primary School Teacher Jobs in Lusaka

• Student Learning and Development: Prepare and deliver lessons, monitor progress, support learners needing extra help, and integrate Christian values and social-emotional learning into your teaching.
• Student Care and Wellbeing: Foster a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere; attend to students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs; and promote positive character development.
• Safeguarding and Child Protection: Adhere to Family Legacy’s Child Protection Policy, maintain professional boundaries, report concerns promptly, and participate in safeguarding training.
• Classroom Management: Maintain an orderly and productive environment, enforce conduct policies consistently, and keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and behavior.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Act as a role model, collaborate with colleagues and parents, contribute to improving teaching practices, and uphold Family Legacy’s mission and values.
• Assessment and Records: Conduct classroom and school-based assessments, maintain academic records, and support examination and reporting processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 Certificate and a Degree in Primary Education.
• Valid registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent classroom management and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, faith-based environment with high integrity and professionalism.
