This role offers a unique chance to join our expanding Civil Servants Product team, where you will be instrumental in managing and growing loan portfolios while maintaining high standards of financial health and client satisfaction.

About the Portfolio Manager Role in Petauke and Chipata

As a Portfolio Manager at Spectrum Credit Ltd, you will oversee a loan portfolio comprising 150 to 250 clients, with ambitious targets to expand this to 500 clients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure portfolio quality by closely monitoring collection rates and mitigating credit risk. This position is remote, covering the Petauke and Chipata locations, and is offered on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding of new clients through our official digital platform.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing clients’ financial needs promptly.
• Monitor portfolio performance using key performance indicators such as Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and target achievement.
• Engage actively with existing high-quality clients to facilitate refinancing and ensure portfolio stability.
• Identify and onboard new high-potential loan clients monthly to expand the portfolio.
• Handle USSD-based inquiries efficiently, converting leads into active loan applicants.
• Meet aggressive monthly disbursement targets by securing and processing new clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular follow-ups, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
• Ensure all lending activities comply with applicable lending policies, local financial regulations, AML protocols, and KYC standards.

Candidate Requirements for Portfolio Manager Jobs in Petauke Chipata

• Residency in Petauke or Chipata is mandatory.
• A diploma or higher qualification in Sales, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• At least two years of experience in microfinance, insurance, or similar industries.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
• Proven success in sales generation and portfolio management.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and respect in professional interactions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to independently manage portfolios and meet targets.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and skill enhancement.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate insights into effective strategies for sustainable portfolio growth.
