These mining jobs in Zambia remote locations are part of a new project launching in the North-Western and Copperbelt Provinces. Available Positions and Key Responsibilities

1. Drill Supervisor (2 Positions)

Role Summary: Lead on-site safety and operational management to ensure optimal drill rig production.

  • Provide daily safety leadership and enforce HSE compliance.
  • Supervise drilling operations to meet production targets efficiently and safely.
  • Identify and implement training plans; monitor crew performance.
  • Ensure timely completion of compliance reporting and operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years hands-on drilling experience across RC, Diamond, RAB, and Water Bore drilling.
  • At least 2 years in a Drill Supervisor role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams under pressure; must pass pre-employment medical exam.

2. Diamond Driller (3 Positions)

Role Summary: Operate diamond and RC drill rigs to achieve efficient and safe drilling operations.

  • Conduct drilling per company and client standards.
  • Train and mentor national drilling crews.
  • Perform equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and ensure HSE compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years drilling experience (excluding offsiding).
  • Proven expertise in RC exploration, grade control, and diamond drilling.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of rig operation and vehicle mechanics.
  • Strong safety awareness; must pass pre-employment medical exam.

3. Driller Assistant (6 Positions)

Role Summary: Support drilling activities while maintaining safety and operational standards.

  • Assist with drill rod handling, sample management, and site housekeeping.
  • Support rig mobilisations and demobilisations.
  • Accurately record drilling metrics and promote safe practices.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Previous drilling or mining experience preferred.
  • Physically fit and able to work in remote locations on rotational shifts.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills; valid driver’s license advantageous.

4. Driver (3 Positions)

Role Summary: Safely transport personnel, equipment, and materials supporting drilling operations.

  • Operate light vehicles and buses following company and site regulations.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and compliant with traffic laws.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Valid PSV and Class C or CE Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience in mining or remote-site environments.
  • Defensive driving certification preferred; must pass pre-employment medical exam.

5. Chef (2 Positions)

Role Summary: Prepare nutritious meals and maintain high food safety standards for camp employees and visitors.

  • Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and manage inventory effectively.
  • Assist with menu planning and supervise kitchen assistants.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or Hospitality.
  • Experience in camp or mining hospitality environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

6. Cleaner (3 Positions)

Role Summary: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in designated work areas to ensure a safe environment.

  • Clean offices, kitchens, washrooms, and other areas to company standards.
  • Manage waste disposal and replenish cleaning supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues and support event setups.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently.
