Your Role as Fish Counting Team Lead

As the Fish Counting Team Lead, you will take charge of the entire fish transfer process from nursery to grow-out cages. Your leadership will ensure that stocking targets and budget goals are consistently met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and care.

• Lead the Count: Supervise fish transfers, ensuring precise counts and adherence to stocking plans.
• Quality Assurance: Control counting speeds up to 650 fry per minute and perform “Squeeze Tests” to verify that only healthy stock (20g+ average body weight) proceeds.
• Equipment Oversight: Manage and maintain Vaki counting machines, pumps, and generators with weekly greasing and cleaning routines.
• Animal Welfare: Minimise stress during seining operations and prevent any fish escapes, safeguarding stock wellbeing.
• Team Coordination: Lead and collaborate closely with Coxswains and Feeders, ensuring safety, discipline, and productivity within your team.
