Role Overview for Farm Manager Jobs in Lufwanyama, Chibombo, and Ndola

This full-time position requires a hands-on management approach to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the farms. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning production schedules, maintaining accurate records, and supervising both crop and livestock operations. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of biosecurity, safety, and operational efficiency to support the continued growth of our agricultural and hospitality ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily farm operations, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
• Develop and implement production schedules to guarantee a steady supply of quality produce to Walusungu Hospitality.
• Maintain detailed records of livestock, crops, feed, medicines, inputs, and stock levels.
• Monitor animal health, breeding programs, feeding regimens, and crop performance closely.
• Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment, infrastructure, and buildings to ensure operational readiness.
• Enforce strict biosecurity, cleanliness, and safety protocols across all farm activities.
• Prepare regular operational reports and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and profitability.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing mixed farming operations, including both livestock and crop production.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate farm staff effectively.
• High levels of honesty, discipline, organization, and the ability to work independently.
• Computer literacy and strong record-keeping capabilities are desirable.
