Role Overview: Key Responsibilities for Failure Analysis Engineer Jobs in Copperbelt

As a Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing component- and circuit-level faults using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Troubleshooting printed circuit boards (PCBs), boost/buck converters, inverters, and embedded electronic systems.
• Identifying root causes of inverter and solar system failures to improve product reliability.
• Maintaining detailed and organized troubleshooting records and failure databases.
• Collaborating with local and global teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Conducting field visits to evaluate customer-reported issues, inspect defective units, and provide timely feedback.
• Partnering with the aftersales team to refine troubleshooting methods and improve repair efficiency.
• Supporting technical training sessions to enhance diagnostic and repair capabilities across teams.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

Ideal candidates for this position will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with electronic hardware troubleshooting and component-level diagnostics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and firmware interfaces.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, analog and digital circuits, and power electronics.
• Ability to analyze data using tools like Excel to identify trends and monitor performance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Exposure to quality assurance methodologies, root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone), and reliability testing is advantageous.
