About the Construction Project Assistant Role

The Construction Project Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of our construction and infrastructure projects. This position requires a solid technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work bilingually in Chinese and English. You will serve as a key liaison among technical teams, management, suppliers, and our Chinese stakeholders, ensuring smooth project progress and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities for Construction Project Assistant Jobs in Lusaka

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring construction and engineering projects to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Read, interpret, and review technical drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), designs, and related project documentation.
• Prepare detailed project reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services to support project needs.
• Liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout project execution.
• Support management with administrative and operational tasks related to construction activities.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Structural Engineering, Building Science, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Preferably, candidates who have studied in China and possess strong Chinese language skills.
• Solid understanding of construction processes and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment and collaborate across diverse teams.
