About the Construction Manager Role

This full-time position is based on Zambian projects and requires an individual who is committed to delivering excellence in construction management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a Zambian citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction or mining infrastructure projects, including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction practices, pre-commissioning processes, and project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, preferably FIDIC, as well as technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with statutory regulations, quality assurance standards, and safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, cost control, and performance monitoring.
  • Valid membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
