About the Role

The Commercial Superintendent will lead and manage the Services Contracts Coordinator and Senior Warehouse staff, ensuring the smooth operation of their teams. Reporting to the KTDC Manager, you will oversee critical commercial aspects including services contracts, procurement, and ad-hoc commercial projects. This role demands a strategic approach to managing vendor relationships, tender processes, and warehouse coordination to support KTDC’s operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Superintendent Jobs in Kalumbila

• Lead the services contracts team to execute and manage procurement activities with a focus on securing optimal terms and pricing.
• Negotiate and finalize key services contracts to ensure compliance and value for KTDC.
• Manage the tender procurement process with fairness, discretion, and sound judgement.
• Oversee warehouse operations and coordinate commercial aspects of ad-hoc projects.
• Authorize and escalate invoice and payment approvals in Pronto ERP, ensuring due diligence.
• Prepare and manage the section budget, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective measures.
• Support other departments or FQM group entities as assigned by the KTDC Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Law, Engineering, Finance, or related fields. Other disciplines may be considered.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply is advantageous.
• At least 4 years of relevant commercial or procurement experience, preferably within construction or property management sectors.
• Experience in auditing, contract management, or contract drafting is highly valued.
• Familiarity with Pronto ERP and SAP Ariba systems is beneficial.
• Advanced qualifications such as MBA, CFA, or CA will be considered an asset.
