Key Responsibilities for Business Development Officer Jobs in Lusaka

• Identify and secure new corporate clients for both air and sea freight services.
• Develop and implement effective sales and business growth strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, and freight agents.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to support digital marketing and promotional campaigns.
• Coordinate closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless client management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• At least one year of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Comprehensive understanding of shipping documentation and Incoterms (International Commercial Terms).
• Ability to clearly interpret and explain import/export shipping procedures to clients.
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
• Proactive, target-driven, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with air and sea freight operations is a plus.
• Must possess a personal laptop with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic AI tools.
