Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Logistic Coordinator at BME, you will assist in managing transportation schedules, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate logistics records. Your contribution ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards while supporting warehouse operations and customer service.
- Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate transportation and delivery schedules, monitor shipments, liaise with transport providers, suppliers, and customers, and assist with shipping documentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, support stock counts and audits, and document stock movements properly.
- Administrative Support: Maintain logistics databases and filing systems, prepare logistics reports, process delivery notes, invoices, purchase orders, and waybills, and manage logistics correspondence.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to transportation regulations and company policies, assist with health and safety standards, support investigations into delivery issues, and maintain confidentiality of logistics information.
- Customer Service: Respond to shipment inquiries, resolve routine logistics issues professionally, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience for Assistant Logistic Coordinator Jobs in Lusaka
Candidates applying for this position should possess a Grade 12 Certificate and a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of three years’ experience in logistics is required to succeed in this role.
